According to the Provincial Culture and Tourism Work Conference held on February 18, the province last year made great progress in culture and tourism and ranked first in the country in terms of market share, product sales and tourist reception scale in the ice and snow industry. The number of national-level and provincial-level rural tourism villages increased 25 percent and 131.6 percent, respectively. 25 routes were selected as high-quality rural tourism routes in the country by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, making the province among the top in the northeast. A total of 141 culture and tourism projects started construction in the province last year.

The conference detailed key tasks for 2023 and the years to come. To boost its strength in culture and tourism, the province will comprehensively implement 10 major projects including the accelerated development of a trillion-level tourism industry, the quality improvement of the ice and snow industry, the revitalization and prosperity of literature and art, the provision of public culture services, the protection of cultural heritage, the growth of the culture industry, the deep integration of culture and tourism, the digital development of culture, the publicity and promotion of marketing and the consolidation of industrial foundation.

The implementation of the projects is an important support for the high-quality development of the province's culture and tourism, as well as a key guarantee for the realization of a trillion-level tourism industry. To data, the province has planned 1,071 culture and tourism projects with a total investment of 1,014.856 billion yuan. Among them, 160 projects are ready to start construction this year.
