The 23rd China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) concluded on September 21 in Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Changchun made a prominent appearance as China's "City of Charm" at this year's CAEXPO. Under the unified arrangements of Changchun Municipal People's Government, Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Changchun Sub-council took the lead in the preparatory work for the exhibition. A special exhibition area was set up under the theme "Splendid Light & Shadow, Ice & Snow Changchun" to showcase the achievements of the city's key industries, including rail transit, optoelectronic information, and aviation and aerospace. The area systematically presented the city's ice and snow cultural tourism resources and featured products. Meanwhile, Changchun also held an ice and snow carnival promotion themed "Ice-Snow Splendor · Mixc Changchun," bringing the charm of northeast China's winter to Nanning and offering a multifaceted view of the dynamism of the Changchun Modern Metropolitan Area.

Through its participation, Changchun successfully built an important bridge for business and people-to-people exchanges with Nanning and ASEAN countries, promoting targeted engagement and in-depth negotiations with the ASEAN region in multiple fields, including industrial investment, culture-tourism integration, and trade exchanges, fully demonstrating the city's positive image of opening-up and broad prospects for cooperation.

The CAEXPO has concluded, while the cooperation moves forward. In the future, Changchun will continue to deepen all-round connectivity with ASEAN and work to launch direct flights between Nanning and Changchun. Leveraging the air corridor, the city will promote practical cooperation in economy, trade, industry, and cultural tourism, and foster closer people-to-people exchanges. As the "City of Charm", it will further amplify the spillover effects of its participation in this year's expo, enhance the scope and substance of its international cooperation, and advance its high-quality opening-up.
