Jilin Province's animation prowess has once again made a stunning impression nationwide! Recently, the 22nd China International Cartoon & Animation Festival (CICAF) was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, where Zap's Last Stand, an original 3D sci-fi adventure animated film by Jilin Animation Institute, was nominated for the "Golden Monkey King Awards."

Regarded as "China's highest animation honor," "Golden Monkey King Awards" is top-tier among domestic animation awards, enjoying great prestige and international recognition. With rigorous judging criteria, the Awards comprehensively evaluates animation works across multiple dimensions, including creativity, technology, artistry, and commercial value. The nomination of Zap's Last Stand is both a strong endorsement of the film's quality and a compelling testament to Jilin's robust capability in animation.

This outstanding animated film was meticulously crafted by the faculty and students of Jilin Animation Institute. It is also the first domestic animated film to feature a computer program as the protagonist. The film has already appeared on the international stages like the MIPCOM Cannes in France and the Columbus International Film and Animation Festival in the United States, and won the "Maple Leaf Award" for Best Animated Film at the Annual Vancouver Chinese Film Festival. Released nationwide on October 6, 2025, it has received widespread acclaim from audiences.
