Changchun Holds the 6th China-ROK (Changchun) Future Auto Industry Cooperation Conference

The 6th China-ROK (Changchun) Future Auto Industry Cooperation Conference was held in Changchun on May 14, 2026. Since its launch in 2020, the conference has been held annually in the city for six consecutive years, yielding fruitful results and becoming an important platform for economic and trade exchanges between the city and South Korea.


This year's conference was hosted by Changchun Municipal People's Government and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), and organized by Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Changchun Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and KOTRA Changchun Office, with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang. The event aimed to strengthen practical cooperation in the auto industry between Changchun and South Korea, promote high-quality development of the local auto industry, and create more opportunities for collaboration between auto parts enterprises from both sides.



Li Yunpeng, member of the Party Leadership Group of the Changchun Municipal People's Government, Hwang Jaewon, Chief Representative of KOTRA China, and Kang Heonggu, Deputy Consul-General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. The meeting also brought together representatives from the foreign affairs offices of Jilin, Siping, and Liaoyuan in the Changchun Modern Metropolitan Area, as well as those from Changchun New Area, the Economic and Technological Development Zone, the Automobile Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Jingyue District, alongside 14 Korean and 30 Chinese enterprises.



Representatives from several companies gave project presentations at the conference, including FAW Bestune, Changchun FAWAY Group Automobile Components Co., Ltd., POSCO INTL (Shanghai) Shenyang Branch, and Qingdao Representative Office of Korea Testing and Research Institute (KTR). Besides, more than 50 one-on-one matchmaking sessions were held between Chinese and Korean enterprises.


This conference not only provided a platform for communication and interaction between Chinese and Korean enterprises but also opened new channels for deepening cooperation. It is expected to contribute positively to the friendly relations between China and South Korea and to the high-quality development of Changchun's auto industry.
