On March 31, at a regular policy briefing held by the Information Office of the People's Government of Jilin Province, Chi Junjie, Deputy Director of the Jilin Animal Husbandry Bureau, introduced that efforts will be made by 2026 to accelerate the upgrading of the sika deer industry, with the following key initiatives:

Focus on deep processing. Steadily advance the inclusion of deer antler, placenta, and bone in the list of substances that are both food and medicinal ingredients.

Upgrade the deer product trading markets in Shuangyang and Dongfeng to build a national top-tier deer product trading and distribution hub. Establish a brand system centered around "Jilin Sika Deer."

Establish provincial-level core breeding and biosecure farms for sika deer, with the number of high-quality breeding deer exceeding 35,000.

Continue to carry out the "Hundred Experts Visiting Thousands of Enterprises and Tens of Thousands of Households" initiative. Build a smart regulatory platform covering the entire industry chain, implementing "one code per deer" and "one code per product."
