On January 29, Huang Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, and Hu Yuting, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor of Jilin Province, met with a delegation led by Leonz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), in Changchun.

Huang Qiang and Hu Yuting extended a warm welcome to Leonz Eder and his delegation and expressed their appreciation to FISU for its strong support for the Changchun Winter Universiade. Huang noted that since Changchun won the bid to host the 33rd Winter Universiade, the province—supported by the Ministry of Education and the General Administration of Sport of China, among other national ministries and commissions—has moved into top gear with what he described as "Jilin speed" and "Changchun efficiency", having achieved tangible progress on all fronts. With less than a year to go until the opening ceremony, Huang expressed the hope that FISU would continue to provide strong guidance, particularly in venue renovation, and work together to prepare the World Conference, a highlight of the Games. He emphasized Jilin's full confidence in fulfilling its missions as the host, noting that the province will mobilize its full capacity to host a Winter Universiade that is safe, streamlined, and spectacular, while advancing all tasks in parallel to create a vibrant ice-and-snow sporting gala for university students from around the world.

Leonz Eder remarked that the rapid and solid progress of the preparations for the Changchun Winter Universiade is the result of the high attention and strong support from the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and the Jilin Provincial People's Government—a testament to China's proven track record in delivering world-class sporting events. He stated that FISU intends to deepen its partnership with local organizers by offering all-around service and guidance. Eder expressed his conviction that the Changchun Winter Universiade will not only showcase the appeal of ice and snow sports but also foster friendship among young people worldwide and facilitate mutual understanding among nations.
