Changchun Shangbudi Historic & Cultural Block Is Set to Open

Changchun Shangbudi Historic & Cultural Block is scheduled to be partially open for business before the Spring Festival of 2026.



This historic and cultural block is located in the core area of Nanguan District, Changchun. It is bordered by Dama Road to the east, Sima Road to the south, Xinmin North Alley to the west, and Wuma Road to the north, covering a total site area of approximately 47,000 square meters.


The entire block, home to 54 buildings with a total floor area of 44,600 square meters, includes 1 municipal-level protected cultural relic building (approximately 7,351.21 square meters), 5 historic buildings (approximately 4,063.15 square meters), 11 traditional-style buildings (approximately 8,848.27 square meters), along with 22 general-purpose buildings and 15 buildings planned for restoration and reconstruction. In line with the principle of "respecting history and restoring it as it was", the project team carried out systematic restoration on 16 old buildings in the block.



To mark its opening, the block will roll out special New Year-themed cultural and tourism activities, such as the Spring Festival Family Reunion Banquet and Tanghulu (sugar-coated fruit on a stick) Festival. At Changchun Shangbudi Historic & Cultural Block, every visitor can find the city's memories and warmth that they have been longing for!
