On December 7, Changchun's medicine and health industry embraced a highlight moment as the 2025 CMHIE, characterized by its "expanded scale, optimized structure, and improved quality", built a bridge for cross-border and cross-sector cooperation, allowing its "international style" to shine brightly in the Spring City in Northern China.

The academic lineup was led by 16 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, along with 84 experts and scholars from top research institutions. Industry leaders such as China National Pharmaceutical Group and Tongrentang gathered at the event, which also attracted important guests from more than 20 countries and regions, including Europe, America, Africa, and Southeast Asia.

The event brought together global elites, highlighting its international influence. Ten foreign government agencies, including the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang, and 22 international business associations, such as the American TCM Association and the Health Community of West Africa (HCOWA), participated as groups. Additionally, 110 senior executives from Fortune Global 500 and China 500 companies also attended the event, making Changchun a vibrant stage for cross-border intellectual exchanges and resource matchmaking.

"At this year's CMHIE, we actively organized 10 renowned Korean pharmaceutical enterprises, including KGC and KG Bio, to participate in the exhibition, helping deepen China-Korea cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry." In the Korea Pavilion, a wide array of pharmaceutical products is on display. The head of the KOTRA Changchun Office said that in just one morning, they had received the heads of more than 10 Chinese enterprises for business negotiations. "Next, we will systematically analyze and assimilate the results and strive for more cooperative outcomes."

This year's expo saw a significant expansion of international elements, highlighting a new pattern of opening up. The number of international exhibition groups surged from one last year to seven this year, with delegations from ASEAN, the United States, Korea, Mongolia, and others presenting cutting-edge achievements in the global medicine and health sector. Forty-one enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and overseas Chinese communities showcased their featured products, while exhibition groups from four provinces and cities, including Tianjin and Gansu, participated, making the expo a crucial hub for the dual circulation.

Focusing on emerging markets along the "Belt and Road", this year's CMHIE established an international procurement negotiation zone and hosted a trade matchmaking event for overseas buyers and a precise matchmaking event for global procurement and supply resources. Fifty international buyers conducted on-site sourcing, helping Changchun's advantageous pharmaceutical products venture into global markets. Platforms such as the ethnic medicine special zone and technology exhibition zone were simultaneously set up, showcasing the international appeal of TCM like Tibetan medicine and Miao medicine, while also promoting global pharmaceutical technological innovation and industrial integration. CMHIE has thus become an important hub connecting the global health industry, injecting strong international momentum into the high-quality development of the regional medicine and health industry.
