The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, with "promoting high-quality development" as its central theme, has charted a grand blueprint for China's development over the next five years. On this new journey, the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone will accelerate the cultivation of a "3+1" modern industrial system, which is led by high-end equipment manufacturing, big health, and optoelectronic information, and supported by modern services. The Zone is making every effort to build itself into a high-quality development demonstration area characterized by strong opening-up vitality, a superior business environment, a beautiful ecological setting, and a high happiness index, thereby injecting new momentum into the construction of the Changchun Modern Metropolitan Area.

As a platform for the growth and expansion of high-tech enterprises, the Industrial Innovation Base in the Zone covers a total area of 560,000 square meters. Since its operational launch in 2020, it has successfully attracted 36 high-tech enterprises. A number of technology-based enterprises, such as Changchun Tianmingsheng Technology Co., Ltd., Jilin Dongchi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., and Jilin Qinglan Energy Technology Co., Ltd., have taken root and flourished here, with their products and technologies, including optical adhesives, solid-state batteries, and hydrogen energy equipment, reaching domestically leading levels.

Seizing opportunities presented by the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, this Zone focuses on targeted investment attraction in its leading industries, strengthens the guiding role of state-owned enterprises, innovates project operation mechanisms, and promotes the successful implementation and robust growth of more high-quality projects.

This Zone actively integrates into the construction of the Beihu Future Science City, continuously enhances regional innovation capability, vigorously cultivates strategic emerging industries, and proactively carves out new tracks in future industries.

Since the beginning of this year, this Zone has carried out 51 projects, each with an investment of over RMB 50 million, 41 of which are industrial projects, marking a five-year high. The advancement of key projects, such as the Chunminghu Campus of Changchun University of Science and Technology and the HYNOVATION Hydrogen Energy Equipment Manufacturing (Northern) Project, provides solid scientific and technological support and a powerful talent engine for regional industrial upgrading, fueling the development of the entire industrial chain and jointly fostering a favorable industrial ecosystem.

Looking ahead, this Zone will firmly uphold its core mission of "serving national strategies, coordinating with Changchun's overall development, and leading cooperation with South Korea". It will adhere to a differentiated development path, accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, vigorously cultivate emerging industrial clusters, promote the deep integration of technology and industry, and strive to strengthen the economic foundation.
