As winter approaches, Xinmin Street in Changchun is set to undergo a spectacular "ice and snow transformation", becoming the city's highly anticipated "cover" this winter.

At that time, themed ice sculptures will shimmer with dazzling brilliance, while immersive light shows and creative art installations will combine to create a visual feast. This century-old street, adorned with a striking winter aesthetic, will become the city's new ice and snow landmark and a must-visit destination for tourists, showcasing Changchun's unique winter romance.

A Revitalized Famous Street Where History Meets Modern Life

As the first "Famous Historical and Cultural Street" in Jilin Province, Xinmin Street drew widespread attention this summer and autumn with a variety of cultural tourism events. Through three major projects—"spatial redesign, business model renewal, and event-driven engagement"—Xinmin Street has evolved from a famous historical and cultural street into the city's "cultural living room" and "trendy landmark". It now features 13 pocket parks and 29 vibrant specialty brands, as well as "fifteen scenic spots of Xinmin", including the Former Site of the State Council of Manchukuo, which stand as quiet witnesses to history. The Changchun History and Culture Museum preserves the city's memories, while the Xinmin Market brings together intangible cultural heritage creations and local delicacies, and float parades spark excitement day and night. Here, a single street tells the story of a city's past and present.

Start from Xinmin Street and Explore Changchun through Three Themed Routes

Taking Xinmin Street as the starting point, visitors can explore a multi-faceted and diverse Changchun through three distinct routes. Head north to trace the city's past and present: From the Soviet Red Army Martyrs Monument at the People's Square to the Palace Museum of the Manchurian Regime, the Huanglongfu Liao Pagoda in Nong'an, and other historical sites, old buildings stand silently, and history resonates through the snow.

Head east to encounter ecology and romance: There are Jingyuetan National Forest Park, Nanxi Wetland, Lianhuashan Eco-tourism Resort, and Senlo Tourist Resort… At night, immerse yourself in the night performance of  Journey to the West (1986 version) at Changchun Zoological and Botanical Park, interact with "Xuebing Monkey", and relive childhood memories. Head west to explore the city's industrial glory: By visiting scenic spots like the Former Site Museum of CFS, G54 Tram, "The Hill" commercial complex, FAW Historical and Cultural Block, and Changchun International Aviation Expo City, you can witness the glorious legacy of the "Automobile City", "Film City", and "Aviation City".

This winter, as Shanghai's "blossoms" meet Changchun's "snowflakes", we cordially invite you to embark on an awe-inspiring and heartwarming northern journey starting from Xinmin Street. We look forward to meeting you amid the ice and snow and gathering together in joy.
