On the morning of October 21st, the opening ceremony of the Friendly Visit by the Delegation of Teachers and Students from Krasnoyarsk City No.1 Middle School, Russia, was held at Changchun Foreign Languages School. Deputy Director of the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Ou Shuo, was invited to attend the event.

During the opening ceremony, leaders from both schools delivered speeches in succession, expressing their common desire to deepen the friendship between the two schools and expand cooperation in education. They were also confident about future interactions, such as enhanced teacher-student exchanges, joint curriculum development, and cultural experiences. Student representatives from both sides also spoke, sharing their expectations and visions for the exchange program and showcasing the vibrant energy of the younger generation in both countries.

To showcase traditional Chinese culture, Peking Opera and Errenzhuan (a traditional Chinese folk art form) performances were arranged at the opening ceremony. The unique vocal styles and lively performances garnered applause from the Russian teachers and students, creating a friendly and warm atmosphere.

With the active promotion of the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Changchun Foreign Languages School and Krasnoyarsk City No.1 Middle School officially signed an inter-school cooperation agreement in November 2023, laying a solid foundation for ongoing exchanges. As an important part of these mutual visits, in June of this year, Changchun Foreign Languages School sent a delegation of 18 teachers and students to Krasnoyarsk City No.1 Middle School for a 10-day friendly visit, achieving significant exchange results.

The visiting delegation from Krasnoyarsk City No.1 Middle School consists of 17 members, led by the school's principal, Ms. Elena Kukshenko. Over the next eight days, the Russian teachers and students will not only engage in curriculum interactions and teaching experience exchanges with their counterparts at Changchun Foreign Languages School but will also visit major historical sites and natural landscapes in Changchun, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the city's profound cultural heritage and unique charm.

This visit will further consolidate the friendly relations between the two schools and inject new momentum into deepening cultural exchanges and promoting mutual understanding between China and Russia.
