On October 12, 2025, Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. held the launch ceremony for the "Electric Power Engineering Satellite A" (Jixing Gaofen 07A01) at the Jilin Aerospace Information Industrial Park.

Jixing Gaofen 07A01 is a high-precision, high-resolution optical remote sensing satellite jointly developed by Chang Guang Satellite and State Grid Electric Power Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. to meet the needs of the power industry. The satellite is designed to enable refined two-dimensional power engineering monitoring, such as intelligent extraction of power grid elements, power line inspection, and power construction monitoring, as well as three-dimensional power engineering monitoring, including monitoring and inspection of aerial obstacles and power line site planning. It will efficiently enhance the management of power business operations and inject new quality productive forces into the development of the power industry.

The Jixing Gaofen 07 series represents a new generation of operational satellites developed by Chang Guang Satellite, capable of rapidly responding to diverse mission types, including hotspot imaging, stereo imaging, and space target imaging. This series is developed based on the concept of onboard deep integration and features a new-generation multi-core parallel central computing unit and intelligent onboard processing architecture. It integrates precise orbit determination and high-frequency attitude data processing, combined with advanced ultra-stable attitude control strategies, significantly improving the positioning accuracy and geometric quality of image products. Characterized by "stability, reliability, and intelligence", the satellites also support in-orbit deployment and updates of mission planning and processing algorithms, enabling the acquisition of high-definition images with a panchromatic resolution better than 0.5 meters.

Jixing Gaofen 07A01 will be launched soon from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. Upon successful launch, it will further accelerate the networking progress of the "Jilin-1" satellite project, expand the constellation's high-precision and high-resolution remote sensing information resources, and provide richer remote sensing data and product services for applications in power engineering monitoring, land resource surveys, smart city development, and more.
