The 30th China-Korea (Changchun-Ulsan) Calligraphy and Fine Arts Exhibition Opens in Changchun
In celebration of the 31st anniversary of Changchun and Ulsan becoming sister cities, and with the aim of further fostering cultural exchanges and artistic collaboration between the two cities, the 30th China-Korea (Changchun-Ulsan) Calligraphy and Fine Arts Exhibition officially commenced at the Changchun Art Museum on September 9th.
The exhibition received over 500 submissions from artists of both regions. After professional evaluation, a total of 102 works by Chinese artists, 90 works from Korean artists, and 25 specially invited works were displayed. The works encompassed a variety of art forms, including calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, oil painting, watercolor, and more, showcasing a wide range of themes and styles that highlight the latest achievements and profound cultural heritage of both regions.
Li Peng, Vice Chairman of the Changchun Calligraphers Association, stated, "Using calligraphy, an excellent traditional cultural medium, we aim to enhance the friendship between Changchun and Ulsan and promote traditional Chinese culture."
Kim Bong-seok, President of the Ulsan Fine Arts Association, commented, "These authentic calligraphy and painting works will provide the calligraphers and painters from Ulsan with a wealth of new creative inspiration when they visit Changchun."
Since its inception in 1996, the China-Korea (Changchun-Ulsan) Calligraphy and Fine Arts Exhibition has been held for 29 editions, serving as an important platform for cultural exchange and a solid bridge for friendly relations between the two cities.
