Recently, Jilin Changchun Eastern Auto City Co., Ltd. partnered with CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited), a global pioneer in new energy innovation and technology, to launch the first "CATL Auto City" project in Northeast China. The project will be located at the Eastern Auto City Automotive Industrial Park within Jingyue High-Tech Zone.

In recent years, Jingyue High-Tech Zone has prioritized the development of a modern industrial system featuring "three pillar industries, two refined sectors, and one distinctive niche". It focuses on scaling up and strengthening three pillar industriesdigital economy, high-end manufacturing, and film-television culture and tourism; refining two cultivated sectorslife health and modern agriculture; and proactively laying out one distinctive niche, low-altitude economy. This strategy further clusters emerging industries with higher development quality and an optimized industrial structure.

Serving as a cornerstone project in the new energy industrial layout and regional consumer hub city development, CATL Auto City integrates a "comprehensive and diversified" new energy vehicle (NEV) consumption experience and intelligent service, encompassing NEV display, sales, and related products exhibitions. It will be located in Building 3 of Changchun Eastern Auto City Automotive Industrial Park, spanning a total construction area of 41,000 square meters.

The project will leverage CATL's industrial chain advantages in the power battery sector to attract numerous leading NEV manufacturers and related supporting businesses, creating a "one-stop" themed consumption space for new energy vehicles. In the future, it will showcase four major highlights:

1. "Omni-Scenario" Experience: Focusing on four customer journey stages "inspection, selection, utilization, and education," the project introduces an "omni-scenario" business format that integrates CATL's battery product "display + science popularization + research" with collaborative NEV manufacturers' "exhibition + sales + shows."

2. "Premium Energy Ecosystem" Standards: Aligned with national "dual transformation" policy, the project is in compliance with the "three excellence" operational principle of "premium brands, outstanding models, and superior services." It selectively showcases high-quality automakers, displays excellent vehicle models and provides top-tier services, driving commercial "quality energy" upgrades with green momentum.

3. "New Experience" Ecosystem: Beyond NEV exhibitions and sales, the project integrates brand launches, commercial exhibitions, zero-carbon science popularization, battery swapping/charging services, and other new energy lifestyle scenes. It introduces commercial supporting resources to innovate Jilin Province's first zero-carbon quality life experience center. Notably, CATL Auto City will also serve as Jingyue High-Tech Zone's exhibition hub for low-altitude aircraft and the low-altitude flight economy, further enriching regional emerging industry display scenes.

4. "Extensive Integration" Model: Leveraging Changchun's strategic location as the central city of Northeast China's three provincial capitals, the project unleashes synergies with surrounding cultural, commercial, and tourism resources, delivering a cross-sector consumption experience.

Currently, both partners are efficiently advancing preliminary work, including project design, renovation planning, and brand recruitment, with plans to commence operations before the end of this year. The landing of the "CATL Auto City" project will further enhance Jingyue High-Tech Zone's new energy industrial ecosystem, bolster regional consumption capacity and influence, and inject robust momentum into Changchun for its effort to become a new energy industrial hub and urban consumption center. Furthermore, CATL has strategically invested hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars in Autoflight, China's sole tonnage-class cargo drone manufacturer with full certification (TC, PC, AC), which is currently in discussions with Jingyue High-Tech Zone for potential collaboration.
