Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Conference Held in Three Consecutive Sessions in Shandong Province

Recently, the Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Conference themed "Snow in Changbai Mountain, Meet in Changchun" was successively held in Qingdao, Linyi, and Jinan. It was hosted by the Jilin Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and organized by the Changchun Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism.

Endowed with superior ice and snow culture and rich ice and snow industrial resources, Changchun Ice and Snow Festival has successfully hosted 27 sessions and received 300 million tourists in total since its inception in 1998. Changchun has also been honored as one of China's top 10 ice and snow tourism cities for several consecutive years. In his address, Yuan Jiye, member of the Party Leadership Group and Director General Level Officer (Grade II) of the Changchun Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, expressed that for the 2023-2024 ice and snow season, Changchun has established 10 major ice and snow parks, represented by Changchun New World of Ice and Snow, known as the world's largest ice and snow amusement park, as well as four major ski resorts, five ice and snow hot springs, and more than 40 other ice and snow entertainment venues. He warmly invited friends from the three cities to come to Changchun and enjoy the splendid winter scenery, the enchanting world of ice and snow, and urban delights.

Changchun boasts romantic winter scenery and diverse activities. To help visitors have a deeper understanding of Changchun's colorful snow season, a professional host and promoter from Changchun Tianding Mountain Tourist Resort Town and Jingyuetan National Scenic Area successively introduced various ice and snow products. In the new snow season, Changchun's Tanding Mountain Ski Resort, Miaoxiang Mountain Ski Resort, Lianhua Mountain Ski Resort, and Jingyuetan Ski Resort are strategically distributed around the city, with distinct levels, well-organized structures, and diverse products. With complete infrastructure and thoughtful services, skiing enthusiasts can fully experience the passion and charm brought by urban ice and snow. Changchun Zoological and Botanical Park, in collaboration with CCTV, made a grand return. Under the theme of "Chasing Dreams on Journey to the West, Night Tour in the Park", 12 new themed scenes such as Havoc in Heaven and The Kingdom of Women have been added, and the Wankui Flower Sea, Penguin Group, Reindeer Family, Zigong Lanterns, and more have been launched, presenting new and vibrant ice and snow tourist attractions for visitors in the Year of the Dragon through the "Five Chapters". Additionally, using digital AI technology, the park presents visitors with a different "animal metaverse". Changchun Tianding Mountain Tourist Resort Town has been built to provide a world-class ice and snow-themed "Ice and Snow +" immersive experience. Changchun New World of Ice and Snow grandly opened on December 12 and it features over 30 ice and snow entertainment projects in five major series, covering an area of 1.56 million square meters, with 670,000 square meters of ice and snow amusement space. Furthermore, 56 vivid snow sculptures, with the largest main snow sculpture reaching 70 meters in length, will be created in Jingyue Snow World in the Jingyuetan National Scenic Area. At the same time, the 22nd Vasaloppet China will kick off in this scenic area on January 4, 2024, which invites world-class cross-country skiers to traverse the snow-covered forest.

Entering Qingdao —

On December 22, the Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Conference themed "Snow in Changbai Mountain, Meet in Changchun" was successfully held in Qingdao. Li Wenge, Director Level Officer (Grade II) of the Qingdao Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, stated that Changchun boasts picturesque scenery, distinct seasons, deep historical and cultural heritage, and rich tourism resources. The abundant tourism resources in both Changchun and Qingdao, with significant cultural differences and strong complementarity, make them important tourist destinations for each other. Using "mountains and seas" as a medium and "travel" as an intermediary, tourism has built a bridge of deepening friendship and enhancing cultural exchanges between the two cities.

Entering Linyi —
On December 23, the Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Conference themed "Snow in Changbai Mountain, Meet in Changchun" was successfully held in Linyi. "Changchun and Linyi are separated by more than a thousand kilometers. A hundred years ago, Shandong people "rushed to Northeast', promoting economic and cultural exchanges and dissemination between the two places, along with amity between people in terms of cultural emotions and life customs," said Liu Guanghao, Director Level Officer (Grade II) of the Linyi Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism. He also mentioned that today, one can reach Changchun from Linyi in just 120 minutes by taking a direct flight. Considering the diverse tourism products and generous favorable policies brought by Changchun Tourism Promotion Group, Linyi eagerly looks forward to using this promotion conference as an opportunity to carry out more cooperation. Entering Jinan —
Jinan, the City of Springs, was the third stop of the Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Conference themed "Snow in Changbai Mountain, Meet in Changchun". Sun Jing, Deputy Director of the Jinan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, said that Changchun enjoys rich ice and snow tourism resources, with a large number of professional ski resorts, ice and snow amusement parks, ice and snow hot springs, and ice and snow entertainment venues, and its Ice and Snow Festival has been held for 27 consecutive years. There is no doubt that Changchun has turned its "cold resources" into the "hot effect", solidifying its status as one of the hottest spots for winter ice and snow tourism.
