Recently, CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. signed a Letter of Intent for Cooperation on Metro Line 3 (DLS) with the State Government of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. It is reported that Metro Line 3 is an important part of the metro system planning of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, which is planned to connect the downtown area of the state with neighboring Niteroi.

In recent years, CRRC has been vigorously promoting the DLS business model, the total life cycle system solution based on digitalization and intelligence. The research and development of urban public transport jointly carried out by CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd. and the State Government of Rio de Janeiro aligns with the reform of market cooperation mode, the trend of intelligent development in rail vehicles, and the needs of the current rapid development of technological transformation. Rio de Janeiro is the first city in Brazil where CRRC's urban rail transit equipment has been put into service. As of now, CRRC has supplied 604 rail transit vehicles to Rio de Janeiro. The Metro Line 4 train in Rio de Janeiro has become a shining business card of "Made in China" outside the competition venues of the Rio Olympic Games in Brazil, with rail transit equipment serving the Olympic Games overseas for the first time.
