On November 4, the 5th China International Import Expo had its opening ceremony in Shanghai. Jilin Provincial Trade Mission, including 1,409 enterprises and 3,280 individuals, registered and participated in this event. Wherein, Changchun Branch Trade Mission had 565 enterprises and 1,340 individuals registered and participated. Cai Dong, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor, showed up at the opening ceremony.

In this CIIE, Jilin Province established a provincial trade mission with 18 branch trade missions. During this event, Jilin Province encouraged and supported the branch trade missions to implement professional negotiations and business connections with a nature of procurement, organized purchasers to attend the policy interpretation meetings, supply & demand negotiation meetings, and new product release meetings held during the CIIE, and focused on promoting the imports and transactions of automobile & parts, food & agricultural products, high-tech products, complete equipment, important raw materials, etc.

During the 5th CIIE, Jilin Provincial Trade Mission will implement key activities from three aspects: establish an exhibition area for the cultural and people-to-people exchanges of Jilin Province to display and promote Jilin's time-honored products, intangible cultural heritage products and special agricultural products in a concentrated way; establish an exhibition area for the achievements in opening-up of Jilin Province to display the main achievements in Jilin's open economy since the 18th CPC National Congress; and further establish exchange and cooperation relationships, convene negotiation activities at the exhibition hall and booths and implement meetings & talks to promote the development of key projects.

Our city organized 11 time-honored enterprises from Jilin to participate in the special exhibition "Time-honored Products of Jilin" organized by the provincial trade mission; and organized 5 national-level development zones from Changchun to participate in the exhibition of achievements in opening-up, in order to further present the image of Changchun and contribute to its exchanges and cooperation.
