On September 20, the 2022 Ginseng Industry High-Quality Development Meeting opened. Zheng Jianbang, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Executive Vice Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of Chinese Kuomintang, and Jing Junhai, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Han Jun, Vice Secretary of CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor, presided over the opening ceremony. And Jiang Zelin, Chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was held in Changchun and Fusong County, Baishan respectively. 55 cooperation projects were signed, with a planned total investment of RMB 54.36 billion.

Zheng Jianbang pointed out that the ginseng industry is the most advantageous and potential industry to enrich the people in Jilin. Since last year, the Revolutionary Committee of Chinese Kuomintang and the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference have launched related research work on topics such as the high-quality development of the ginseng industry.

On behalf of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Jilin Province, Jing Junhai expressed heartfelt thanks to the Revolutionary Committee of Chinese Kuomintang and all sectors of society for their concern and support for the revitalization and development of Jilin. He said that at present, the ginseng industry has entered an important strategic period of transformation, upgradation and high-quality development. We will persist in promoting the ginseng industry through high-quality, sustainable, technological and branded development, and strive to build the ginseng industry into a one hundred billion-scale industry. First, we will vigorously implement the project of revitalizing the ginseng seed industry and improving its quality, so as to make the ginseng industry advanced and well-known. Second, we will insist on putting a priority on ecological and integrated development, and scientifically explore a coordinated development mode of the ginseng germplasm resources protection and forest management. Third, we will utilize the great potential of enterprises and markets, and advance the construction of the high-quality ginseng production system, management system and industrial system. Fourth, we will focus on product innovation and brand building, and constantly enhance the brand competitiveness and international influence of “Changbai Mountain Ginseng”. Fifth, we will promote opening up and cooperation to achieve mutual benefit and a win-win result, and work together to draw a beautiful blueprint for the development of the ginseng industry.
