At 11:06 am on February 27, the Long March-8 carrier rocket lifted off at the Wenchang Space Launch Center with 22 satellites including 10 Jilin-1 satellites. Up to now, there are 41 Jilin-1 satellites in orbit.
The 10 Jilin-1 satellites include Jilin-1 MF02A01 and Jilin-1 GF03D10-18.
Jilin-1 MF02A01, also known as Xiamen•Tianwei Technology-1 Pilot Satellite, is a 30-kg multi-functional commercial satellite independently developed by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co. It is mainly used to verify the rationality and reliability of the new general satellite platform design, with features of high integration, strong carrying capacity, light weight and low cost. The satellite is a result of in-depth cooperation between Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co and Xiamen Tianwei Technology Co, which is designed to facilitate the digital transformation and development of Fujian province, to speed up the construction of Maritime Silk Road Spatial Information Harbor and to provide massive data support for the smart city construction of Xiamen city.
Jilin-1 GF03D15 (Shaoguan-1), Jilin-1 GF03D16 (Wenchang Supercomputing-2), Jilin-1 GF03D17 (Wenchang Supercomputing-3), Jilin-1 GF03D18 (Anxi Tieguanyin-1) and Jilin-1 GF03D10-14, new-generation high-resolution remote-sensing satellites independently developed by Chang Guang Satellite Technology Co, can provide images with a resolution of less than 0.75 meters and a width of more than 17 kilometers. The satellites have features of low cost, low power consumption, light weight and high resolution.
It is the 17th launch of the Jilin-1 satellite project.
