Changchun’s Tourism Revenue in May Holiday Reaches RMB2.75bn

The number of visitors to Changchun amounted to 3,084,400 times during the May Day holiday this year, an increase of 125.51%. The tourism revenue totaled RMB2.75 billion, up 183.25%. The overall reception capacity of the key scenic spots, rural tourism units and cultural and tourism consumption places in the city increased by more than 200% compared with that in 2020. The record for the first three days of the holiday increased by more than 60% compared with that in 2019. The number of the visitors to the 12 scenic areas (spots) under survey reached 800,000 times which in turn brought about a revenue of approximately RMB52.9 million. The number of visitors to the Museum of Manchurian Palace reached 47,700 times, an increase of 835.29% year on year; that to the Changchun World Sculpture Park amounted to 24,700 times, up 109.32% year on year; that to the Beihu National Wetland Park reached 128,000 times, a year-on-year increase of 338.36%; and that to the Cultural Park of Liao and Jin Dynasties amounted to 25,300 times, up 450% year on year. The number of people received for rural tourism reached 5,413,000 times which generated a total revenue of RMB260 million. The number of visitors received by the 10 rural tourism units under survey reached 120,000 times which brought about a total revenue of RMB1.9748 million, up 280.95% and 265.84% year on year respectively.
