Zhang Zhijun, Mayor of Changchun City, met with the delegation led by H.E. Ambassador Carlos Miguel Pereira of Cuba to China on March 31, 2021. The two sies had talks on deepening cooperation and exchanges and making win-win results at a new starting point in various fields. 

The delegation came to promote cooperation and exchanges in biomedicine, and inspect Changchun Heber Biological Technology Co., Ltd. and other joint ventures established by China and Cuba. 

Zhang Zhijun, on behalf of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and the People’s Government of Changchun City, extended his warm welcome to the delegation, saying “China and Cuba are good friends and good brothers. Over the past years, the two sides have deepened and maintained cooperation and exchanges, with joint efforts made in particular in fighting against the pandemic to which your ambassador has made outstanding contributions. We hope your visit will help further deepen our cultural and people-to-people exchanges as well as cooperation in biomedicine, health, automobile, agriculture , education and talent training so as to achieve win-win results.”
