The State Council held a press conference on joint control and prevention mechanism on January 13, 2021. According to Feng Zijian, Deputy Director of Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, a large amount of passenger flows will appear during the forthcoming Spring Festival Holiday which in turn will increase the risk of epidemic spreading. In the meantime, as logistics increase, more efforts should be put into guarding against the risk of imported cold-chain foods and other goods. To cope with such risks, the State Council has deployed countermeasures to control and prevent the epidemic, scattered or large-scale. All involved are suggested not to travel unless for urgent reasons. If having to do so, the ones involved shall pay attention to traffic and tourism information, and meanwhile avoid transportation peaks, work well for self-protection and minimize trips to crowded places.
