On behalf of the delegation, Cui Jie extended his heartfelt greetings and thanks to all participants, saying, “All overseas Chinese compatriots have stories of ups and downs, twists and turns. As pioneers, you are worth respecting duce to the facts that some have to stay abroad for years, and some even quit official posts and came for entrepreneurship. I have visited many construction sites for residential buildings, but it is my first time to have seen such a nice one built by our counterparts in East Africa. It is a really hard but awesome success. Great changes have taken place in domestic market. Oversupply has appeared in nearly all industries. Now in Africa, however, chances are everywhere. I hope you can maintain a good image, respect local laws and regulations, take good care of yourselves and forge ahead for better development.”

“After taking going out for a long-term development as the concept for development, our president visited Africa twice in 2012, and established Dongxing International Real Estate Co., Ltd in 2013,” Zhou Jianxun, Vice General Manager of Dongxing International Real Estate Co., Ltd., was quoted as saying in his report, adding, “Our project represents not only the image of our company but also reflects the impression of the people of Tanzania upon Chinese companies. Our actual behavior in respecting local laws and regulations, and achievements in making the local communities benefit from our project, adding jobs, and investing and building the Dongxing Road have been highly praised by the Embassy of China in Tanzania and the local government. We will continue to attach equal importance to the development of our company and the fulfillment of social responsibility, keep in mind our original intensions, and make new contributions to promoting the social development and the traditional friendship of China and Tanzania.”

After the trip to Dongxing Residential Quarter, the delegation watched a dancing show prepared by the Overseas Chinese Confederation in Tanzania which has maintained close relations with Changchun Municipal Political Consultative Conference since it was built in 2011 on the basis of the Chamber of Commerce of Northeast China in Tanzania. Through giving each other sufficient support and help, the two sides have played an important role in the implementation of the road and belt initiative in Tanzania. Following the pace of the great development of our nation, Changchun Municipal Political Consultative Conference has put more efforts into providing best services for overseas Chinese while helping them solve their difficulties and thus been praised by the overseas compatriots.

In the afternoon, the delegation visited the Embassy of China in Tanzania, and had talks with Gou Haodong. “To go abroad for development is a trend for domestic enterprises. However, not all are able to do so. To avoid incompatibility, the information from investment destinations plays an important role. We hope more from the embassy can be shared with our enterprises and individuals intending to come and invest in Tanzania,” Cui Jie said at the meeting.

“The latest poll shows China is most welcomed in Tanzania. On the basis of traditional friendship and friendly, mutual benefit cooperation, our companies and citizens should attach great importance to social responsibility, which, in turn, has played an important role in building up a good Chinese image, and meanwhile creating more favorable conditions for development. Quality Chinese-funded enterprises and individuals will further promote the cooperation between China and Tanzania. We hope to see more outstanding companies and individuals to invest in Tanzania. The Embassy of China in Tanzania will continue doing the best to provide services for our Chinese compatriots,” Gou Haodong was quoted as saying at the meeting.
