The 2025 Windsor International Children's Art Exhibition in Canada was recently held with great success. Outstanding children's artworks selected from Changchun made a brilliant appearance, building a bridge for cultural exchange between China and other countries through innocent, childlike creativity, and further strengthening the friendly ties between Changchun and Windsor, Canada.

The Windsor International Children's Art Exhibition is a major international cultural exchange event organized by Windsor, Changchun's sister city in Canada. Since 2017, Changchun has been invited to participate for eight consecutive years. Over the years, the two cities have engaged in regular cultural interactions through the exhibition, deepening people-to-people friendship and showcasing Changchun's open, inclusive, and diverse urban image to the international community.

The 2025 Windsor International Children's Art Exhibition opened in October last year at Devonshire Mall in Windsor and was later moved to the Windsor-Essex Art Gallery, where it will run until March 2026. To ensure high-quality participation, the American and Oceanian Affairs Division of the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, upon receiving the invitation from the Windsor International Relations Committee in July 2025, immediately coordinated with the Municipal Education Bureau. Together, they meticulously organized the selection process, ultimately choosing 22 paintings by students from the Changchun Children's Palace, which were successfully sent to Windsor for the exhibition.

Under the theme "Friendships from Neighbourhoods to Nations," the young artists from Changchun gave full play to their imagination, blending elements of Chinese and foreign cultures, Changchun landmarks, and more. Through vivid, childlike artistic expression, they offered a heartfelt interpretation of international friendship from a child's perspective and conveyed good wishes through their art.

It is worth noting that this year marks the 10th anniversary of the Windsor International Children's Art Exhibition. Windsor has officially invited Changchun to continue its participation, expressing a desire to deepen bilateral cooperation. Going forward, the American and Oceanian Affairs Division of the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will take this exhibition as an opportunity to further cultural exchanges between the two cities, expand cooperation, and enrich the forms of engagement, injecting sustained youthful energy into the sister-city relationship and fostering ever-deeper friendship between Changchun and Windsor.
