Deepening Sister-City Educational Cooperation, Jointly Writing a New Chapter in China-Russia Exchanges
On April 9, 2026, Ms. Ilyina Nina, Vice President of Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University in Russia, led a delegation to visit the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office (CCFAO). Ou Shuo, Deputy Director of the CCFAO, along with the head of the European and African Affairs Division, held discussions with the delegation on further promoting educational cooperation between the sister cities.

Deputy Director Ou Shuo extended a warm welcome to Vice President Irina Nina. He noted that the China-Russia relationship is currently maintaining a high level of development, and the reciprocal "Education Years" hosted by the two countries provide an important platform for deepening people-to-people and cultural exchanges. As sister cities, Changchun and Krasnoyarsk have maintained close interactions. He expressed the hope that this meeting would serve as an opportunity to encourage universities in both cities to achieve more tangible outcomes in areas such as student and faculty exchanges, academic seminars, language teaching, and research collaboration, thereby contributing to educational cooperation between the two countries.
Vice President Irina Nina thanked the CCFAO for its warm hospitality. She stated that Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University places great emphasis on cooperation with China, particularly exchanges with educational institutions in Changchun. Within the framework of the "China-Russia Education Year," the university is ready to further expand communication channels with Changchun's educational institutions and pursue deeper cooperation in language promotion, professional education, and youth exchanges.
The two sides also discussed specific areas of potential cooperation.
