On March 21, the emblem of the Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade, alongside the mascots and slogan, was officially unveiled. The selected design, created by a team from Jilin University of Arts, was named "Chun Chang" (Youth Eternal).

The emblem is based on the cursive Chinese character "长" (Chang), ingeniously incorporating the "U"-shaped symbol of FISU. The design highlights Changchun's local identity while conveying the speed and vitality of ice and snow sports. It integrates elements such as the rhythmic flow of film strips and the trajectories of winter sports, all hallmarks of the city's character. Its silhouette resembles an uplifting smile, with a blue-and-white palette accented by vibrant colors, capturing both the essence of ice and snow and a spirit of youthful energy. The name "Chun Chang" echoes the city's name (Changchun) and expresses aspirations for enduring peace and lasting beauty.

The emblem design was spearheaded by key creatives behind "Shuey Rhon Rhon", the mascot of the Beijing 2022 Winter Paralympics. The team has previously delivered visual identity designs for major national and international events, including the Chengdu World Games (torch), the Asian Winter Games, and the National Winter Games.

The mascots, "Ji Bing" (Ice Ji) and "Ji Xue" (Snow Ji), draw inspiration from two of Northeast China's "Three Treasures": the sika deer and ginseng, embodying strong regional characteristics.

"Ji Bing", modeled on the sika deer, features antlers symbolizing vitality and growth. Its blue-and-white attire reflects openness, red accents pay tribute to Jilin's revolutionary heritage, and snowflake motifs evoke the spirit of competition. "Ji Xue", inspired by ginseng, incorporates elements of traditional Northeast floral-patterned fabric in its sleeves, conveying a sense of everyday warmth and rustic hospitality. Its blue-green scarf represents the Songhua River, speaking to the enterprising spirit of Jilin. Both mascots are presented as athletes, embodying the energy and enthusiasm of winter sports.

The official slogan—"Dreams Ignited, Youth United"— captures the distinctive character of Changchun as both a city of ice and snow and a city of youth, setting a vibrant tone for this global sporting event tailored to young minds.

This edition of the Winter Universiade will take place from January 15 to 25, 2027, across Changchun City and Jilin City. With ice and snow as its bond and youth as its defining spirit, the event will provide a broad platform for young people worldwide to engage, learn from one another, and pursue their dreams together. It will showcase the dynamic development of China's winter sports, and present an image of China that is credible, adorable, and respectable. It will also highlight Jilin Province's distinctive qualities of being warm, engaging and promising, along with the open, inclusive, and dynamic image of both cities.
