At the invitation of the city of Changchun, Mr. Falk Lichtenstein, a partner at CMS Law Firm–a member company of the German Chamber of Commerce in China–led a delegation on a visit to Changchun from January 3 to 5. The delegation took part in events during the Vasaloppet China Changchun Jingyuetan International Ski Festival (Vasaloppet China 2026).

During his stay in Changchun, Mr. Falk Lichtenstein and his delegation visited the History and Culture Museum of Changchun, the Museum of the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo, and the Changchun City Planning Exhibition Hall, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the city's historical context, current development, and future development plans. Changchun's historical culture, urban development, scenic charm, and the vibrant, grand atmosphere of the Vasaloppet left a deep impression on the foreign guests. Mr. Falk Lichtenstein and his delegation also enthusiastically tried a variety of ice and snow activities, experiencing the unique charm of Changchun's winter wonderland.

Mr. Falk Lichtenstein noted that Changchun is a city full of great potential. He expressed his willingness to actively foster greater economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between German and other European enterprises and Changchun, and looked forward to future opportunities to revisit the city and participate in more of its large-scale international events.

Ou Shuo, Deputy Director of the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, met Mr. Falk Lichtenstein and his delegation. The two sides held friendly discussions on areas of mutual interest for cooperation. Ou Shuo extended a warm welcome to Mr. Falk Lichtenstein for his visit, expressed appreciation for his willingness to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, and looked forward to further deepening engagement and expanding practical collaboration in the future. Mr. Falk and his delegation expressed their gratitude for the kind invitation and warm, thoughtful hospitality extended by the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office.

Relevant staff from the German Affairs Division of Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office accompanied the delegation throughout the aforementioned activities.
