Recently, JD Group and the Executive Committee of the Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade held a signing ceremony in Changchun, formally confirming JD as an official sponsor of the Changchun 2027 Winter Universiade (hereinafter referred to as the Universiade). Leveraging its supply chain and digital technology capabilities, JD will provide comprehensive services and support for the international winter sports event, while collaborating with regional industries to promote the high-quality development of the ice and snow economy in Jilin Province and across northeast China.

It is reported that the Universiade will be held from January 15 to 25, 2027, in Changchun City, the main competition zone, and Jilin City, the secondary zone, in Jilin Province. The event is hosted by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and is expected to attract thousands of young athletes from more than 50 countries and regions around the world.

Following the signing, JD will provide efficient, intelligent and reliable supply support, as well as digital and intelligent services for the event through its "Super Supply Chain". The enterprise will deeply integrate its retail, logistics and technology service capabilities into every aspect of the event, from supply circulation and cold-chain transport during preparations to thoughtful and convenient daily services for athletes and staff, and to a one-stop "ice and snow + culture and tourism + consumption" experience for global visitors from all over the world. At the same time, it will harness its supply chain to bring specialty agricultural and sideline products and ice and snow tourism resources from northeast China to consumers at home and abroad, helping turn the Universiade into a new force for showcasing Jilin's image and boosting ice and snow consumption in northeast China.

This partnership with the Universiade is another important step in JD's efforts to deepen its engagement in northeast China and contribute to the revitalization of the region. Taking northeast China as a key investment priority in recent years, JD has continued to increase its investment in the region.
