China and Korea Forge New Chapter in Medical and Pharmaceutical Cooperation
Bridging the Path to Win-Win Outcomes: Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office Partners with KOTRA Changchun Office to Bolster Korean Exhibitors at "2025 Changchun International Medicine & Health Industry Expo" and "2025 Global Sourcing and Supply Matchmaking Conference".

On December 9, the 2025 Changchun International Medicine & Health Industry Expo came to a successful conclusion. Fully leveraging its foreign affairs resources, Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office collaborated closely with the KOTRA Changchun Office to organize 10 renowned Korean pharmaceutical and healthcare enterprises, including JungKwanJang, YONGU-IN Medical, KG Bio, and Punggi Premium Goods Agricultural Cooperative (Cheonjimyeong) to this expo. Together, they established an efficient platform for precise matchmaking between the Chinese and Korean medicine and health industries. This move stands as a pragmatic measure to promote high-standard opening-up in the region, demonstrating Changchun's dynamism and potential in this endeavor.
Given Changchun's role as a vital gateway to international engagement, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office consistently prioritizes serving industrial development as a core mandate. In the preparatory phase, utilizing a regular communication mechanism with the KOTRA Changchun Office, the Office precisely aligned with Korea's advantageous resources in sectors like biopharmaceuticals, healthy foods, medical and cosmetic devices. Aligning with Changchun's existing medicine and health industry foundation and market demands, it carefully selected excellent participating enterprises and products for the expo, laying a solid groundwork for successfully assembling the Korean exhibitor delegation.

Throughout the expo, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office offered full-spectrum coordination and support in turning the cooperation intentions into actionable outcomes. A dedicated matchmaking and negotiation segment was set up within the Korean exhibition area, bringing together prominent Chinese medical and health companies for discussions with their Korean counterparts. Furthermore, Korean enterprises were organized to participate in the "2025 Global Sourcing and Supply Matchmaking Conference," supporting their efforts to expand their global reach. During the conference, the KOTRA Changchun Office, on behalf of the Korean exhibitors, presented products targeted for international markets and expounded their cooperation needs.

Looking ahead, Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will continue to serve as a bridge in following up on cooperation intentions and expediting project implementation. Additionally, it will further expand cooperation with relevant Korean institutions. Focusing on key areas such as biopharmaceutical R&D, health and wellness service upgrade, and medical talent exchange, the Office will strive to establish more regularized exchange platforms, in a bid to inject stronger "international momentum" into the high-quality development of Changchun's medicine and health industry, as well as the construction of Changchun Metropolitan Area and a new high ground for opening-up and cooperation in Northeast Asia.
