The highly anticipated ice and snow event is now officially announced: the 24th Vasaloppet China will be held on January 4, 2026 at Changchun Jingyuetan National Scenic Area.

Originating in Sweden in 1922, the Vasaloppet is the world's oldest and largest long-distance cross-country skiing event. In 2003, this event found its home in Changchun's Jingyuetan. In 2014, as the sole Chinese event, the Vasaloppet China joined the Worldloppet organization, ranking as one of the world's highest-level professional competitions. It has since introduced events such as the FIS Cross-Country Skiing China City Tour, the FIS Worldloppet Cup, and the world-class professional skiing series "Ski Classics". The event has been recognized as a "Top Chinese Sports Tourism Event" and one of "China's Top 10 Most Influential Ice and Snow Tourism Festivals".

We Have It All!

The coming edition of this festival features the Worldloppet 50km Gold Race and 25km Silver Race, alongside public participation races of 6km, 1.5km, and 0.3km. From "world skiing champions" to beginners, from youths to seniors, it is going to be truly inclusive for all! The event will also engage with communities from "Belt and Road" countries based in China and reach out to primary and secondary schools as well as enterprises, aiming to create a nationwide ice and snow celebration!
