Huang Qiang and Hu Yuting Meet with FISU President Leonz Eder
On November 24, Huang Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, and Hu Yuting, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor of Jilin Province, met with a delegation led by Leonz Eder, President of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), in Changchun.

Huang Qiang and Hu Yuting welcomed Leonz Eder and his delegation, who visited Changchun again. Huang Qiang said that recently, Changchun officially submitted a report to FISU to bid for the 33rd Winter Universiade. Jilin Province attaches great importance to the bid and regards it as an important opportunity to unleash the vitality of the ice and snow economy, showcase an open and confident image, promote revitalization and development, and improve people's well-being. He emphasized the province's determination to pool all its resources to ensure the success of the event. With strong support and careful guidance from FISU, the bidding work is progressing smoothly. If Changchun wins the bid, it will uphold high standards and quality, establish an organizing committee and an executive committee with a flat and efficient management structure, and promptly initiate preparations, including volunteer recruitment, venue maintenance and renovation, city image improvement, and air route coordination. The city will race against time and advance all tasks in parallel to successfully organize a Winter Universiade that is simple, safe, and spectacular. He also highlighted that university students are the future of the world and expressed the hope that FISU would support Changchun in hosting this grand event for young people. Through sincere cooperation and joint efforts, the event will fully demonstrate the positive spirit of university students from various countries and better convey confidence and hope to the world.

Leonz Eder stated that the Winter Universiade is an important platform for university students from different countries to promote exchanges and enhance friendship through sports competitions. China has extensive experience in hosting large-scale events, and FISU believes that Changchun will successfully organize the 33rd Winter Universiade. He wished Changchun success in its bid.
The meeting was attended by Provincial and municipal leaders Zhang Enhui, Wang Zilian, and Gu Gang, as well as Liu Wei, member of the CPC Leadership Group and Secretary General of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, and Matthias Remund, Secretary General and CEO of FISU.
