Huang Qiang and Hu Yuting Meet with the Diplomatic Delegation to China Participating in the "Discover China Cultural Tour" of Jilin for Diplomats in China
On November 22, Huang Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, and Hu Yuting, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor of Jilin Province, met in Jilin with the diplomatic delegation to China participating in the "Discover China Cultural Tour" of Jilin for Diplomats in China.

Huang Qiang and Hu Yuting welcomed the delegation and expressed appreciation for the strong support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China. Huang Qiang said that Jilin, meaning the "Auspicious Forest", is a summer resort and a skiing paradise, blessed with two invaluable assets: lucid waters and lush mountains on the one hand, and ice and snow on the other. Powder snow, calm winds, mountainous terrain, and warm sunshine are the unique strengths of Jilin's ice and snow tourism. The province is home to 68 ski resorts, including three among China's top ten, and Beidahu Ski Resort is the largest professional ski resort in Asia. Last winter season, Jilin saw a 35% increase in tourist visits and a 21% increase in total tourism expenditure. Currently, Jilin is thoroughly implementing the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and accelerating the formulation of its "15th Five-Year Plan". It is vigorously developing the ice and snow economy and promoting the development of the entire ice and snow industrial chain covering sports, culture, equipment, and tourism, aiming to build a world-class ice and snow tourism destination. The province is willing to use snow to build connections, gather momentum, and advance industries, further deepening economic and trade cooperation and people-to-people exchanges with all countries to achieve higher-level mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
Dario Mihelin, Ambassador of Croatia to China, Hussam Al Husseini, Ambassador of Jordan to China, Ri Ryong Nam, Ambassador of the DPRK to China, Anne Lafortune, Ambassador of Seychelles to China, and Paulette Bethel, Ambassador of the Bahamas to China, spoke highly of Jilin's achievements in economic and social development, especially the progress made in developing the ice and snow economy. They stated that they would fully leverage their role as a bridge to promote exchanges and mutual learning between their countries and Jilin, and to expand and deepen cooperation in cultural tourism, economy, and trade for better shared development.
The meeting was attended by provincial leaders Cao Lubao and Jin Yuhui, along with Liu Wei, Member of the CPC Leadership Group and Secretary-General of the Jilin Provincial People's Government, and relevant officials from the Bureau of International Exchanges and Cooperation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as well as diplomatic envoys to China from Nepal, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Malta, Mexico, Zambia, and Argentina.
