Following the record-breaking 3.65 million visits this summer, the Changchun Four Seasons Nanhe River (hereinafter referred to as the River) Project is rolling out a major winter eventthe Changchun Powder Snow Carnival, which will officially open on December 27. As it serves as the main venue of the 12th National Public Ice and Snow Season, the River will usher in a new snow season with an innovative model integrating "IP + sports + folk culture + commerce", creating a 330,000 - square - meter all - age ice and snow park that fully satisfies citizens and tourists seeking a winter - exclusive experience of playing on ice and snow.

This year, the River Riverside Park Project attracted a total of 3.65 million visitors with its core "sand and water play" experience, featuring a 1.7-kilometer shoreline, nearly 20,000 square meters of pink beach, and 40,000 square meters of golden beach, making it a phenomenal cultural tourism landmark in Changchun. As winter approaches, the River will undergo a comprehensive upgrade building on its high summer popularity, with commercial facilities in six park areas (A-F) set to debut simultaneously, achieving a full-season operational loop of "water play in summer, snow play in winter". "The River Winter Carnival in the new snow season is packed with highlightsit is truly a 'super ice and snow complex'. We have introduced the nationally popular IP Eggy Party, which has over 500 million users, and brought Eggy Island into real life to create an ice-and-snow themed park. Meanwhile, the pink beach has been fully upgraded by transforming pink sand into powder snow, providing an innovative ice and snow experience for citizens and tourists."

According to Wang Rundong, Head of Performing Arts of Jilin Zhongqing Tourism and Cultural Development Co., Ltd, for the new snow season, the River will create 273 Eggy-themed snow sculptures, among which an 18-meter-high giant snow sculpture and an 88-meter-long ice-and-snow castle will become the core must-visit spots. At night, complemented by 3D mapping light shows and firework performances, they will present an immersive visual feast. "In developing sports experiences, we always focus on the concept 'Learn to Ski in Changchun' to make ice and snow sports truly accessible to citizens' daily lives," Wang said. The River winter project has specially planned a 5.7-kilometer urban cross-country ski trail along the Yitong River, breaking the traditional reliance on remote ski resorts and achieving the convenience-oriented goal of "having the ski trail right outside the door". This allows citizens to enjoy skiing in the urban core without long travel.

Even more special is the ski trail illuminated at night, which will meet the nighttime exercise needs of office workers and students and become a unique urban landscape of Changchun. As the main venue of the 12th National Public Ice and Snow Season, the River will also host more than 70 ice and snow events in the new snow season, covering over 20 popular sports including snow football and ice dragon boat racing, providing a professional competition platform for ice and snow enthusiasts. Wang revealed that in the future, the River will continue to extend southward and plan to build the 130-meter-tall "Eye of Changchun", along with an aquarium, theme hotels, and other facilities, aiming to drive economic development on both sides of the Yitong River through the cultural tourism industry.
