"Learn to Ski in Changchun"! Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism Promotion Conference Takes Place in Shanghai
In the golden autumn, Shanghai is adorned with blooming flowers, while Changchun, the Spring City in Northern China, is steeped in snow charm. On October 24, the "Blossoms Meet Snowflakes" Changchun Ice and Snow Tourism (Shanghai) Promotion Conference was held in Shanghai.
More than one hundred guests, including relevant leaders from Changchun and Shanghai, heads of competent industry authorities, and representatives from travel agencies, industry associations, and media influencers from Changchun, as well as Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Suzhou, Wuxi, and other cities in the Yangtze River Delta, gathered together for the North-South ice and snow event. The event aimed to promote resource complementarity, two-way tourist exchanges, and a win-win market situation between the two regions, thereby writing a new chapter in regional cooperation.

This winter, Changchun warmly welcomes visitors from the Yangtze River Delta to enjoy its spectacular ice and snow landscapes.

Two Renewed Parks
Changchun New World of Ice and Snow & Powder Snow Carnival Make a Grand Debut
After the thrill of skiing, the joy of ice and snow entertainment is also a must. Changchun has created two world-class ice and snow parks, each ready with exclusive festivities awaiting your immersive discovery of winter romance.
The upgraded Changchun New World of Ice and Snow, now a third-generation ice and snow complex, features the 1.56-million-square-meter "China Snow Village" as its core highlight. The 1,314-meter snow rafting course and the 520-meter ice slide blend romance and excitement. Visitors staying at Tianding Mountain Homestay can enjoy outdoor hot springs on -20°C snowy nights while watching snowflakes fall. This year, a 'dual attraction combo ticket' linking Changchun New World of Ice and Snow with Tianding Mountain Ski Resort has been introduced, offering visitors a 'two-in-one' winter experience.
The Changchun Powder Snow Carnival, China's first real-life "Eggy Party" snow park, has created an all-age-friendly snow fun zone. A 300,000-square-meter snow play area, over 50 non-powered projects, and a real penguin ecological village allow visitors to immerse themselves in the snow wonderland. The Ice and Snow Sports Park features projects like snow go-karting and fun curling, while giant eggy snow sculptures, light-and-shadow castles, and daily interactive parades will provide a unique winter carnival experience.
Empowered by "One Center"
Xinmin Street Becomes a New Urban Ice and Snow Landmark
Changchun is accelerating the development of its overall cultural tourism layout—"One Center, One Belt, Two Wings, Three Routes, Four Seasons". As the "Center" of this framework, the revitalized Xinmin Street Historical and Cultural Block became a sensation throughout the summer and autumn thanks to a wide array of cultural tourism activities.

As winter approaches, the Block will be adorned with ice and snow decorations. Dazzling themed ice sculptures, immersive light shows, and creative art installations will complement each other and illuminate the century-old street. With its visually striking winter landscape, it will emerge as a new urban icon of ice and snow, showcasing the distinctive romance of Changchun's winter. Centered on Xinmin Street, Changchun has also planned three themed routes (Historical and Cultural Tour, Industrial Culture Tour, and Ecological Culture Tour) to highlight its multifaceted urban charm.
Signing and Awarding Ceremony
Multi-Dimensional Cooperation to Expand the New Landscape of the Ice and Snow Industry

The highlight of the promotion conference was the signing and interaction session, where a series of practical cooperation projects were finalized, demonstrating the city's sincerity and action in "attracting visitors to Changchun".
Major ski resorts in Changchun signed cooperation agreements with Shanghai SPADERS, HOPO SNOW, Santao (Shanghai) Education Technology Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Huixue Sports Service Co., Ltd. This marks the establishment of a convenient channel for ski enthusiasts from the Yangtze River Delta to access Changchun's major ski resorts.

On the same day, the Changchun Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism invited top Shanghai influencers to livestream on Douyin, distributing special ice-and-snow offers from Changchun. Nearly 100,000 viewers joined the livestream to experience the enthusiasm of Changchun's ice and snow activities. They actively asked questions and purchased tickets and other ice and snow tourism products, creating an exceptionally lively scene.

Five cultural tourism influencers from Shanghai were appointed as "Changchun's Ice and Snow Experience Officers" and will promote ice and snow resources in depth through short videos and livestreams. Bai Bing, Changchun's Ice and Snow Promotion Ambassador and internet celebrity with tens of millions of followers, pledged to return to his hometown to film a vlog series titled "Learning to Ski from Scratch", vividly conveying the concept of "Learning in Changchun and Enjoying in Ice and Snow".

The "Champions Invite You to Ski in Changchun" campaign and the "Youth Ice and Snow Party" university program were launched simultaneously. Through short videos featuring Olympic champions inviting visitors to ski in Changchun, online skiing courses between universities in both regions, vlog contests, and the giveaway of 1,000 ski tickets, the city also rolled out its Ice and Snow Season promotion campaign on RedNote and supporting policy initiatives to precisely spark young visitors' enthusiasm for participation.
