Visit to Tanzanian Embassy Helps Broaden City's Africa Ties
To further expand channels for economic and trade cooperation with Africa, Zhao Haiying, Director of the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, led a 13-member delegation of Changchun-based enterprises from the Jilin Chamber of Commerce in Tanzania to visit the Tanzanian Embassy in Beijing on the morning of September 19. They were greeted by Ambassador Omar, Minister Ussi, and Counsellor Mwakasege for talks.
Director Zhao Haiying gave a comprehensive overview of Changchun's industrial development, highlighting its prominent advantages in sectors including automobile manufacturing, agricultural product processing, optoelectronics, and biomedicine. She also expressed hope for deepening industrial and economic cooperation with Tanzania.
Ambassador Omar spoke highly of Changchun's industrial strengths and cooperation potential. He briefed the delegation on Tanzania's progress in areas such as agricultural modernization and infrastructure construction, assuring that the Embassy stands ready to offer policy advisory and facilitation services for Changchun enterprises interested in investing in Tanzania.
This visit further strengthened official ties between Changchun and Tanzania, showcased the city's industrial advantages, and gave a strong boost to local enterprises' economic and trade engagement with Africa.
