With the active support of the Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, a delegation of 18 teachers and students from Changchun Foreign Language School visited the sister city of Krasnoyarsk, Russia, from June 1 to 10, 2025, to participate in a summer camp. This visit marked the first in-person student exchange since the signing of a cooperation agreement between Changchun Foreign Language School and Krasnoyarsk No. 1 High School in 2024. It also represented another significant milestone in the cooperation between the two cities in the field of primary and secondary education.

During the visit, the Changchun delegation received a warm welcome from the local government and the school. Mayor Vladislav Loginov of Krasnoyarsk met with the delegation twice, showing sincere concern for their study and life in the city. Krasnoyarsk No. 1 High School held a grand welcome ceremony, expressing heartfelt hospitality with the traditional Russian ritual of "bread and salt". The event featured a variety of cultural performances, including showcases of national costumes, traditional songs and dances. Russian students also performed dragon dances and martial arts.

Students from Changchun actively participated in various classes and interactive activities, including Russian and Chinese language lessons, physics experiments, fun math sessions, handicrafts, dance, music, sports, and cooking. They had meaningful cultural exchanges with their Russian peers, experienced local celebrations such as Children's Day and Family Day, and took part in the Young Pioneer Camp. Additionally, the delegation visited a local historical museum, a youth IT center, a hydroelectric power station, and a zoo, while enjoying the beautiful natural scenery along the Yenisei River, immersing themselves fully in Russian culture.

This summer camp not only broadened the students' international horizons and improved their language skills, but also deepened the friendship between Chinese and Russian youth. It injected fresh vitality into educational and cultural exchanges between the two cities. The Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office will continue to promote educational cooperation with Krasnoyarsk, facilitate more teacher and student exchange programs, and contribute to the flourishing development of China-Russia friendship.
