On October 29, the Party and Government delegation from Wuhu City, Anhui Province, visited our city for investigation and exchange. Zhang Enhui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, Wang Zhihou, Director General of the Standing Committee of Changchun Municipal People's Congress, Wang Zilian, Mayor of Changchun, and Gao Zhiguo, Chairman of the CPPCC Changchun Municipal Committee, met with the delegation led by Ning Bo, Secretary of the CPC Wuhu Municipal Committee. Ding Zuirong, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Wuhu Municipal People's Congress, and Zhang Feng, Chairman of the CPPCC Wuhu Municipal Committee, attended the meeting.

Zhang Enhui welcomed the delegation and introduced the economic and social development of Changchun. He said that Changchun is thoroughly implementing the important spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech during the Symposium on Advancing the Comprehensive Revitalization of Northeast China in the New Era and earnestly putting in place the high-quality development strategy of "One Main Focus and Six Pairs of Coordinated Tasks" of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee. It is accelerating the development of strengths to make up for weaknesses and enhancing innovative momentum to construct a modern industrial system with characteristics of Changchun through the implementation of the campaign of comprehensive revitalization for new breakthroughs. Wuhu features significant location advantages in the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration. It is hoped that the two cities will jointly shoulder their mission in serving the national strategy, seize the opportunity of the strategic cooperation framework agreement signed by the two provinces to leverage their respective strengths, deepen industrial cooperation to jointly build and share innovation platforms, and strengthen coordination and linkage in cultural and tourism development to collaboratively create a new era of high-quality development.

Ning Bo stated that as Changchun has a complete industrial foundation and a concentration of innovative elements, the two sides enjoy broad space and vast potential for cooperation. He hoped to carry out practical cooperation and achieve mutual development by strengthening interactive exchanges in automobiles, new energy, modern agriculture, new materials, cultural tourism, and other fields.

During their stay in Changchun, the Wuhu Municipal Party and Government delegation will visit and investigate Jilin University, Changchun Planning Exhibition Hall, Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics (CIOMP) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, FAW Hongqi Culture Exhibition Hall, and other places.
