FAW Jiefang and Huawei Sign an MOU for Deepening Comprehensive Cooperation

On October 24, FAW Jiefang Automotive Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "FAW Jiefang") and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huawei") signed an agreement for deepening comprehensive cooperation - a memorandum of special cooperation on AI, intelligent driving, and intelligent cockpit at Huawei's Bantian Base in Shenzhen. Hu Hanjie, GM Assistant of FAW Group, Chairman and Secretary of the Party Committee of FAW Jiefang, and Ying Weimin, Director and Chief Supply Officer of Huawei, attended the signing ceremony. Leaders including Zhu Qixin, Chief Scientist of FAW Group, Tian Haifeng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of FAW Jiefang, Li Sheng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of FAW Jiefang, You Peng, Head of Huawei Cloud EI Product Service Department, Wang Hui, General Manager of Huawei in Jilin, Wang Juan, Vice President of Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solution BU Marketing and Sales Service Department, and Feng Hengxiu, General Manager of Government and Enterprise Business of Huawei in Jilin, also attended the ceremony and related events.
This cooperation will take FAW Jiefang and Huawei's partnership to new heights, as both sides will further integrate their respective strengths to deepen their strategic partnership in AI large model technological innovation, intelligent driving, and intelligent cockpit, to lead the industrial development.
In Terms of AI Large Model Technological Innovation
FAW Jiefang and Huawei have joined forces to conduct verification tests in multiple scenarios based on the Huawei Cloud Pangu Large Model, demonstrating its enormous potential and value in the automobile industry and greatly supporting FAW Jiefang to improve work quality and efficiency. In the future, FAW Jiefang will deepen its cooperation with Huawei to build the Jiefang Smart Brain based on the Huawei Cloud Pangu Large Model, create a personalized intelligent work assistant for employees, and offer users one-stop services from vehicle selection to replacement, empowering R&D, production, supply, sales, and services across all business scenarios. Additionally, both sides will leverage the Huawei Cloud Pangu Large Model to establish a large model for the commercial vehicle industry, jointly create industrial AI solutions, and actively innovate business and profit models.
In Terms of Intelligent Driving
FAW Jiefang will engage in long-term cooperation with Huawei on multiple levels. Based on FAW Jiefang's strong vehicle R&D capabilities and technical reserves, combined with Huawei's self-developed core components in the field of intelligent automobiles, advanced on-board autonomous driving algorithms, and leading vehicle-cloud collaborative technology, they will establish integrated intelligent driving solutions and jointly create competitive intelligent driving products for implementation.
In Terms of Intelligent Cockpit
Currently, FAW Jiefang has completed its development based on Huawei's Intelligent Cockpit Model 1.0, featuring self-developed fuel-saving coaching, intelligent diagnosis and repair, etc. In the future, FAW Jiefang will deepen its cooperation with Huawei and utilize its capability to define commercial vehicle user scenarios and Huawei's intelligent cockpit solutions to jointly create an intelligent cockpit platform, which will further enhance the market competitiveness and improve the safety and comfort of driving, providing users with a new driving and lifestyle experience.
FAW Jiefang and Huawei have many years of successful cooperation, resulting in various important achievements. Since 2015, the two sides have maintained close partnership in areas such as public cloud, integrated communication, and IPD transformation. In May 2019, they officially established a strategic partnership. In 2021, they reached a comprehensively deepened strategic cooperation, expanding their cooperation into various fields, including digital cloud base, AI platform, intelligent manufacturing, industrial Internet, talent development, and process organizational construction.
