Award Ceremony for International Competition Held at CCFAO

Changchun Foreign Affairs Office (CCFAO) and Changchun Municipal Bureau of Education jointly organized an award ceremony for international competitions on July 19, 2021. At the ceremony, the certificates were presented to the winners of such events as “Child to Child” International Charity Art Festival, Winsor International Children’s Art Exhibition, 31st Asia-Pacific National “New Star” Youth Art Festival and “Young Talents-Beloved Cities” International Children’s Art Exhibition. 

Xue Chunzhi, Director General of CCFAO, delivered a speech at the award ceremony, saying, “With the strong support of Changchun Municipal Bureau of Education, Changchun Municipal Children’s Palace has organized teachers and students to participate in various international art competitions for many times. During the epidemic period in particular, difficulties of different kinds were handled and high-level art works were created, which in turn has demonstrated the good image of the children of Changchun City.” 

The aforementioned three events were organized by Changchun’s sister cities Krasnoyarsk of Russia, Winsor of Canada and friendly and cooperative city Khabarovsk as an effort to strengthen international exchanges, improve artistic level, and thus reinforce the friendship between cities. The 31st National “New Star” Youth Art Festival in Asia Pacific is an international competition sponsored by the Far East Committee of Russia “New Star” International Charity Foundation with the support of government of Khabarovsk. The activity opens to the countries in Asia Pacific, which is influential in the field of art. This year, two students recommended by Changchun Municipal Children Palace won the first and second prizes in music competition, and two students won the first and second prizes in painting competition. 

Among the guests invited to the ceremony also included Luan Jun, Director of International Cooperation and Exchanges of Changchun Municipal Bureau of Education, Wang Haiyan, Director of Changchun Municipal Children’s Palace, Wang Rui, Deputy Director Changchun Municipal Children’s Palace, and more than 20 representatives of teachers and students.
