To get deeply integrated into the Belt and Road Initiative, strive to build an important window for China’s opening up to the North, and meanwhile set up a platform on which policies are interpreted for the entrepreneurs between China and Russia to avoid risks in cooperation, Changchun Foreign Affairs Office (CCFAO) organized a seminar on June 7 to which the representatives of China Overseas Development Association and Offices of Russian Railway Company Corporation and Russian Agricultural Bank in China were invited.

At the meeting, He Zhenwei, Secretary General of China Overseas Development Association introduced in detail the development of the association, the international activities organized and held by the association as well as the main policies and key areas at national level for cooperation with Russia. Secretary General He also shared with the participants the experience in cooperation with Russia accumulated over the years and put forward his reasonable suggestions for the future.

The chief representatives of Russian Railway Corporation and Agricultural Bank in China introduced their businesses and cooperation with China, and shared with the participants from their perspectives the points of views for future cooperation among the enterprises between China and Russia.

The enterprise representatives of Changchun City had effective talks on future cooperation with their Russian counterparts and the representatives of China Overseas Development Association.

To facilitate communications and better serve enterprises, CCFAO established a follow-up group based on which platform and information advantages will be utilized to promote the high-quality cooperation of local enterprises with foreign countries.

Some 40 representatives of development and reform commission, bureau of commerce, council for the promotion of international trade with foreign countries, federation of industry and commerce, China (Changchun)-ROK International Cooperation Demonstration Zone and Changchun Xinglong Comprehensive Bonded Area and more than 20 enterprises from Changchun City attended the meeting.
