Changchun Marathon 2021 to Start on May 30

Changchun Marathon 2021, the first of its kind to be organized this year in Northeast China, will be started at 07:30 on May 30, and the registration system will soon be started, according to the information released by Changchun Municipal Bureau of Sport on April 27, 2021. 

It consists of four groups: Full Marathon (42.195km), Half Marathon (21.0975km), 10km Marathon (10km) and Mini Marathon (5km). The maximum number of participants is 30,000, including 6,000 for Full Marathon, 9,000 for Half Marathon, 5,000 for 10km Marathon and 10,000 for Mini Marathon. Changchun Marathon has been held successfully for three times. In 2017, the first edition was organized in line with the theme of “Spring City in Northeast China, Have Fun in Marathon” which attracted tens of thousands of participants. 

In 2018, the attractiveness of “Changchun Marathon” and the happiness it could bring for the participants continued with a new level of preparation and participants, thereby making it a popular marathon brand at home. In 2020, it was cancelled due to the pandemic. However, with enough strength accumulated, many runners are looking forward to challenging themselves this year. Insiders say the event is expected to lead to a boom of public fitness, enhance the city’s popularity and meanwhile add new spotlights to the construction of the city.
