Jing Junhai, Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, and Han Jun, Vice Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Governor of Jilin Province, met with the delegation led by Werner Eichhorn, President of Audi China, on April 22, 2021. 

“Based on the past 30 plus years of cooperation, the new energy project between Jilin and Audi has made a positive progress. Automobile is an important field for cooperation between China and Germany. Guided by the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping and in line with the development trend of going electric, intelligent, connected and shared for automobile industry, we are now focusing on the cultivation and expansion of growth of new modern automobile and spare parts industries, and supporting Changchun to develop into a world’s first-class international automobile city and FAW into a world-class automobile enterprise so as to create a growth pole and support point for the high-quality development of Jilin Province. It is hoped that Audi and FAW will thoroughly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further deepen cooperation and exchanges, accelerate the construction of FAW’s new energy project, and join hands to create a successful model for cooperation in automobile and thus for mutual benefits and win-win results between China and Germany,” said Jing Junhai at the meeting. 

Werner Eichhorn expressed his thanks to the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and the People’s Government of Jilin Province for their strong support for the new energy project, who also believed that with the joint efforts of Audi and FAW the project would be put into operation at the earliest possible time in Changchun City. 

During their stay in Jilin Province, Werner Eichhorn and his delegation had in-depth talks with Changchun and FAW on project cooperation.
