The 9th China Changchun International Ceramic Art Symposium & Mt. Lianhua Ceramic Art Exhibition, which is sponsored by the Administrative Committee of Changchun Mt. Lianhua Ecotourism Resort, Changchun Foreign Affairs Office (CCFAO), Changchun Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Jilin College of Arts, and the School of Fine Arts of Northeast Normal University, was kick-started on August 19, 2020. The effort is meant to disseminate ceramic culture, promote international cooperation and exchanges in ceramic art, and help facilitate the common development of ceramics around the world.  

According to the organizing committee, three itinerant exhibition tours will be organized from August 2020 to January 2021 at Mt. Tianding Ski Resort, Changchun International Ceramic Art Museum and Changchun Water Culture and Ecology Park. Three exhibition sections “Ceramic Art Exhibition 2020”, “Exhibition of Ceramic Artworks of Previous Years” and “Traditional Chinese Ceramic Art Exhibition” totaling 170 pieces of artworks including the ones made by internationally renowned artists from Italy, Russia and Ukraine and those by their Chinese counterparts like Zhou Guozhen and Liu Chaangyuan will be arranged for the stop at Mt. Tianding Ski Resort.
