Wang Kai Meets with Japanese Guests
Wang Kai, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee and Secretary of the CPC Changchun Municipal Committee, met with Yoshinori Ogawa, Executive Director of Marubeni Corporation, General Representative of Marubeni Corporation in China and President of Marubeni (China) Co., Ltd., on May 13, 2020.
“China and Japan are close neighbors. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in particular, the people of our two countries have given positive, supportive responses to each other as described in “lands apart, sky shared”. In addition to tightening the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, Changchun has made every effort to facilitate the resumption of work, production and business as well as the construction of major projects so as to strive for a victory of anti-pandemic and socioeconomic development. In the course of promoting an all-round, comprehensive revitalization, Changchun will take making up for short boards as the first and foremost task while getting involved in an active manner in the ‘Belt and Road’ Initiative and expanding the friendly economic and trade cooperation with Northeast Asian countries. It is hoped that Marubeni will seize the opportunity to take part in the construction of the modern metropolitan area of Changchun City, pay special attention to the construction of China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone just approved lately and thus further deepen and expand our bilateral cooperative relations,” said Wang Kai at the meeting. Yoshinori Ogawa expressed his thanks to Changchun City for its support for the cooperation projects between the two sides and said that new opportunities should be seized to realize development and achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
