About the project |
The project area is situated in the Diaoshuihu Scenic Area of Changchun, a National AAA Scenic Area. Occupying a territory of 100 square kilometers, the original scenic area will be overhauled and expanded through an estimated total investment of RMB 8 billion. With ecological farms and gardens as the environmental backdrop and alpine sports as the core function, the area will incorporate alpine sightseeing, agricultural experience, folk customs tourism, alpine sports and healthcare and recuperation in one. Current plan calls for "one core two park two regions" and will include segments like Wufengtun Folk Town, Luming Valley Alpine Sports Park, Shenlu Peak National Forest Park, Huaguoyuan Leisure Agricultural Region and Meilin Bay Art Estate Region. Annual visitor reception totals 800,000 person/times. |

Shenlu Peak (Diaoshuihu) has been endowed with outstanding natural resources and idyllic scenery, and is a tourism signature of Shuangyang and the entire Jilin Province, a key constituent of Changchun's "Jing (Jingyue) - Lian (Lianhua Mountain) - Shuang (Shuangyang) International Leisure Vacation and Tourism Cluster," and a unique tourism destination with healthcare, leisure, spa, snow, summer escape and business conferences confirmed as main developmental directions. In the near future, tourists received in the district will rise substantially, and it is estimated that during the "13th Five Year Plan" period the number of visitors will climb by an average of 20% per year. In 2016 the whole district received three million visitors person/times, while the Diaoshuihu National Forest Park hosted 600,000 visitors person/times. Development of the Shenlu Peak Tourism and Vacation Area has massive market potentials. |
