The 16th Jilin (Changchun) Winter Agricultural Expo and the 2nd Jilin New Year Cuisine Selection will be held at the Changchun Agricultural Expo Park from February 6 to 23, spanning 17 days (with a closure on February 16, the 29th day of the twelfth lunar month). The 2nd Jilin New Year Cuisine Selection event will run from February 6 to 9.

As a key event during the ice and snow season in Changchun Jingyue High-tech Zone, the Jilin (Changchun) Winter Agricultural Expo has become an important brand for winter ice and snow tourism and festive culture in Changchun, thanks to its unique charm and presentation. This year's expo covers a total area of 200,000 square meters and is divided into two major sections: cultural activities and exhibition and sales, featuring a total of 20 items. The cultural activities section includes eight highlights such as the 2nd Jilin New Year Cuisine Selection, "Ice-Snow Jilin Gifts—Post Road Market," and sports and cultural competitions. The exhibition and sales section offers 12 display and sales projects in exhibition areas such as high-tech facility agriculture, facility horticulture, and the World Agricultural Scenery Garden.

Building on the strengths of previous editions, this year's expo centers on the theme of "agriculture," comprehensively showcasing achievements in facility agriculture, smart agriculture, and agricultural technology. It brings together high-quality technological resources from multiple institutions, including Jilin University, Jilin Agricultural University, and the Institute of Special Animal and Plant Sciences of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, giving the event a strong "tech vibe." In the Agricultural Intelligent Monitoring Center within the 60,000-square-meter high-tech facility agriculture area, citizens can view real-time growth data from plant factories and the nutrient ratios for soilless cultivation,experiencing firsthand the appeal of digital agriculture.

This year's expo also celebrates a cross-regional fusion of New Year's cultural traditions. During the 2nd Jilin New Year Cuisine Selection, signature dishes from across Jilin Province will be selected, and renowned catering companies from Guangdong will be invited to present authentic Cantonese cuisine. Activities such as the "Jilin Flavor—Online New Year Shopping Festival" and the "Jilin Flavor—Ice-Snow Feast" will be held on-site to promote cultural exchanges between northern and southern culinary traditions.

Visitors can savor delicious food and enjoy non‑stop fun. Family‑friendly ice‑snow activities like snow‑fort slides and snow biking will be available, offering interactive winter experiences for all ages. The newly introduced "Northeastern Big Pot Stew" will allow guests to taste authentic local flavors and feel the distinctive warmth of the Northeast. Well‑known intangible cultural heritage inheritors from the province will also give live demonstrations, enabling visitors to immerse themselves in shopping, dining, playing, and entertainment—all in one place—for a unique New Year experience.
