As a leading enterprise in the field of biomedical polymer materials, Changchun SinoBiom Biomaterials Co., Ltd. has been dedicated to technological innovation and has overcome numerous technical challenges such as uncontrollable material degradation performance. To elevate the research and industry of biomedical materials to an internationally advanced level, the ultra-high-performance medical device industrialization project of SinoBiom is progressing vigorously.

The project is located in the High-Tech Development Zone of Changchun New Area, east of 3rd Guihua Road, south of 1st Guihua Road, north of 2nd Guihua Road, and west of Zhuoyue East Street. It covers an area of 68,083 square meters, with a total building area of 112,446.10 square meters and a total investment of RMB 690 million.

It is learned that the construction of the project is divided into three phases. Among them, the final on-site acceptance of Phase I has been completed, with process decoration and equipment installation planned to be completed by September 2024, and production scheduled to commence in December 2024. Currently, the exterior walls of Phase II are under construction, with estimated completion in October 2024 and commencement of production in October 2025. Phase III is expected to be put into full use by 2027. Upon completion and full operation, the project aims for an annual output value of RMB 2 billion.

Oriented towards enhancing public basic healthcare needs, the project strengthens interdisciplinary collaboration among chemistry, materials and engineering, biology and medicine, testing and analysis, etc., while emphasizing talent cultivation and construction of R&D bases to promote close scientific research cooperation among teams from various fields.

Moreover, the ultra-high-performance medical device industrialization project of SinoBiom will drive the R&D and industrialization of basic medical raw materials and implantable medical devices. It aims to achieve innovative and breakthrough results in the key technological research of biomedical polymer materials, promote their clinical application and industrialization process, and realize the industrial transformation of scientific research achievements, thereby boosting the rapid development of the research and industry of biomedical materials in China.
