The 5th China-ROK (Changchun) Future Auto Industry Cooperation Conference was held in Changchun on April 17, 2025. Since its launch in 2020, the conference has been held annually in the city for four consecutive years, yielding fruitful results and becoming an important platform for economic and trade exchanges between the city and Korea.

 

This year's conference was hosted by Changchun Municipal People's Government and KOTRA, and organized by Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Changchun Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, and KOTRA Changchun Office, with the support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang. The event aimed to strengthen practical cooperation in the auto industry between Changchun and Korea, promote high-quality development of the local auto industry, and create more opportunities for collaboration between auto parts enterprises from both sides.

 

The conference was presided over by Changchun Municipal Foreign Affairs Office. Changchun's leaders, along with Hwang Jae-won, Chief Representative of KOTRA China, and Choi Hee-deok, Consul-General of the Republic of Korea in Shenyang, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Furthermore, 33 Korean enterprises and 26 Chinese enterprises participated in the event.

 

At the conference, Changchun Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology introduced the current landscape and future development plans of the city's auto industry. Representatives from FAW Bestune, FAWER Automotive Parts Co., Ltd., POSCO INTL (Shanghai) Shenyang Branch, and Fuao Hanang Automotive Parts (Changchun) Co., Ltd. gave presentations on their respective business projects. Besides, more than 60 one-on-one matchmaking sessions were held between Chinese and Korean enterprises.

This conference not only provided a platform for communication and interaction between Chinese and Korean enterprises but also opened new channels for deepening cooperation. It is expected to contribute positively to the friendly relations between China and Korea and to the high-quality development of Changchun's auto industry.
