On the afternoon of March 4, Liu Naijun, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the China-ROK (Changchun) International Cooperation Demonstration Zone (hereinafter referred to as the Demonstration Zone), visited the Chinese Embassy in ROK and held discussions with Ambassador Xing Haiming.

During the meeting, Liu Naijun introduced the basic situation and development characteristics of the Demonstration Zone to Xing Haiming and elaborated on the development direction focusing on high-end equipment manufacturing, great health, optoelectronic information, and modern service industries. Following the instructions of the South Korean-invested Enterprise Symposium, the Demonstration Zone is steadily advancing the construction of a service platform for South Korean-invested enterprises, exploring the "park in the zone" operation model of these enterprises, and accelerating the establishment of a Seoul office. In the next step, the Demonstration Zone will take multiple measures to attract and utilize foreign investment more vigorously, aiming to deepen cooperation with South Korea in various fields under the guidance and support of the embassy, and jointly create a more resilient and competitive industrial cluster while building a highland of industrial cooperation.

Xing Haiming expressed approval of Liu Naijun's detailed introduction and the current achievements of the Demonstration Zone and emphasized the importance of this meeting for deepening mutual communication and exchanges. He stated that the embassy would provide comprehensive support within its scope of responsibility and actively promote the Demonstration Zone to various sectors in South Korea. He encouraged South Korean-invested enterprises to participate actively in constructing the Demonstration Zone and jointly propel the economic and trade development of the two countries. The embassy will continue to play its role as a bridge to enhance economic and trade relations between the two countries. Furthermore, he pointed out that although the current global political and economic situation is challenging and complex, local cooperation and economic and trade exchanges must not stagnate. As many technology-oriented enterprises in South Korea face a shortage of funds, the Demonstration Zone should fully utilize the comprehensive advantages of Jilin Province, Changchun City, and the region, actively explore cooperation, and seize development opportunities to further focus on emerging industries leading the future.
