The China-ROK City Pavilion was opened at the China (Changchun)-ROK International Cooperation Demonstration Zone on September 23, 2021. As a new landmark for opening up and cooperation, the pavilion will also become a new engine for the development of the city in the future.

“The design concept, division of sections and functional orientation of the pavilion are very impressive.” “It is very international, and attractive to us,” some 100 representatives of famous enterprises from ROK in China and distinguished guests invited to the Northeast Asia Expo were quoted as saying after visiting the China-ROK City Pavilion.

The pavilion is a key landmark project of the China-ROK International Cooperation Demonstration Zone. It is also an important achievement made in the cooperation between China and ROK. Covering a land area of 210,000 square meters and a floor area of 135,000 square meters, it is expected to become an international platform for cooperation and exchanges, a distribution center for imported commodities and an incubation base for cross-border e-commerce. There are 17 sections for such functions as cities of ROK, international commodities, digital service for cross-border commodities, global enterprises, business conferences based on which symposiums, industrial development forums, cultural and art exhibitions, academic exchanges and other activities will be held on a regular basis.

As an important functional platform of the China-ROK International Cooperation Demonstration Zone, the China-ROK City Pavilion will bring into full play the advantages of ROK’s enterprises in such aspects as technology and brand, connect with the huge market in China, and provide all-round services to help the small and medium-sized enterprises with advanced technologies and high-quality commodities from ROK to enter the market in China and get settled in the demonstration zone by means of new economy and new mode such as livestream, internet celebrity, exhibition-sale combination and in the form of B2B.

The pavilion, guided by the governments and joined by the enterprises of the two countries, will also be built into a global supply chain and product selecting base to provide market players in all fields professional e-commerce “guidelines”. The commodities for sale include imported foods, cosmetics, toiletries, household necessities, clothing, health care products, stationeries and jewelries, which are real, traceable, high-quality and low-price. In addition, the “interactive mode” highlighting integration of online and offline development, culture and commerce, domestic trade and foreign trade is able to create a new digital trade experience featuring “seamless connection and cross-border mobility” to realize cross-industry, cross-region coordinated development of industries.

After the opening of the China-ROK City Pavilion, a symposium on economic and trade exchanges and a summit forum on “Trend of Internet Celebrity Economy” were held. At the same time, the public can also participate in the forthcoming activities including China-ROK Food Street and Shopping Fair.
